Demand Capital Lawmakers Preserve Our Federally Protected Lands

Teddy Roosevelt, a Republican, created our National Parks more than 100 years ago to preserve for the American people unique and wonderful environments for all to enjoy. The concept was the model for countries around the world to follow. Now extremists in Congress and the Senate want to turn over these protected lands to the states or sell the parks outright to private businesses for exploitation. At a time when the vast majority of Americans want to preserve these lands, our National Parks saw more than 262 million visitors last year, these extremists want to destroy our national heritage and deprive future generations of experiencing the majesty of our country for personal and corporate profit.
