Police in Pennsylvania recently
received a call that a horse was roaming loose on a road, and were tasked with removing the animal to protect both the horse and humans as well. At least one car had already hit the poor creature, and it stood wounded on the side of the road.
But one of the two State Troopers who responded to the scene decided not to help the animal at all. Instead,
he intentionally slammed his patrol car into the horse over and over, before ultimately driving over it as well.Sign the petition to demand justice!It's clear the situation is bad if the state police's own department has filed a complaint against an officer. And that's what happened here. An internal affairs division report documents that this trooper used his vehicle to crash into the confused, wandering horse repeatedly until it finally fell over. Then, he charged forward and pinned the animal on the ground, beneath the weight of his car's wheels.
At that point, the second officer on the scene - who had been accompanying this violent individual the whole time -
shot the horse to death in order to "euthanize it."But that's a euthanasia that never needed to happen. The officers created the entire painful situation. They forced it into a place where it needed medical assistance immediately.
And then they killed the innocent creature in order to "put it out of" the misery that they themselves caused.The department has since suspended the man without pay, and a district judge has charged him with animal cruelty.
Those are both important steps that needed to happen. But he also must be fired - now.Tell the Pennyslvania State Police that they cannot have animal abusers and animal murderers in their ranks. They must fire this violent, sadistic individual now!
