Animals never deserve to be starved, beaten, forced to live in squalor or anything of an abusive nature. However, such is the case at the Darlynn’s Darlins Rescue Ranch, Inc. (DDRR) in Polk City, Florida. According to the report, pigs were left without food for at least five days, dogs were outdoors in hot temps and deprived of water while being confined to kennels, sick, injured, and dying animals were denied veterinary care, and the list goes on. Some animals were even discovered already deceased due to neglect. And this facility is supposed to be a sanctuary that helps and cares for less fortunate animals.
Currently, an investigation is underway and the animals have been removed from the Darlynn’s Darlins Rescue Ranch, Inc. (DDRR). Hundreds of charges are pending appropriate repercussions for those responsible for the horrific abuse. The purpose of this petition is to urge State Attorney Jerry Hill to pursue extreme legal action to shut down the Darlynn’s Darlins Rescue Ranch, Inc. (DDRR) and ensure that all the animals are re-homed in reputable, safe and healthy sanctuaries where they can live the remainder of their lives happy and wholesome as they deserve.
