Don't leave us out - please caption your videos!

  • mottagare: To the writers at Hayhouse, we want to access your work too. So many Hayhouse writers have video blogs or online seminars/ workshops but these are simply not accessible.

There are 10 million people in the UK affected by hearing loss making it the second largest disability in the UK.

And while holistic lifestyle books are translated into lots of languages, no information is available using sign language and video blogs are very rarely captioned.   

This means accessing material by the worlds foremost 'holistic living' publisher Hayhouse is not easy and even impossible for some members of the deaf community.  

We want to change our lives for the better too but by not captioning your vlogs or using sign language videos we can never be fully included. Please encourage your writers to remember us, caption their video blogs, and for maximum effect make use our sign language volunteers to create sign language videos to further promote their work.

Hayhouse can lead the way and open many doors for the deaf community and in return you will get our custom, loyalty and the acknowledgement that you are indeed a deaf friendly organisation.  Thank you.
