Stop the Destruction of Endangered Species' Habitats!

Ocean County College, located in Toms River, New Jersey, has plans to build a road through sensitive wetland areas.  The area is home to several endangered and threatened species, such as the Pine Barrens Treefrog, the Swamp Pink flower, and the rare Curly Grass Fern.  With their numbers steadily dwindling, protecting these species' habitats has become crucial to their survival.

Although there are wetland protection laws, the land was purchased by Ocean County College before those laws were created.  Therefore, they are exempt.  Legally, we may not be able to stop them, but we can pressure them to find another solution.  Habitats were already destroyed when the Gateway Building was constructed over the past few years, so we must act now and protect what is still left.  Please sign and spread the word.  We need to draw as much attention to this as we can.
Thank you.
