Sanctuary for Retired Chimpanzees

  • av: Animal Advocates

More than 900 chimpanzees are federally owned, and locked away in United States laboratories. The United States is the only country in the industralized world to still conduct invasive experiments on chimpanzees.

100 chimps scheduled to be retired from the New Iberia Research Center and there is a possibility that they may be sent to another research facility, Biomedical Research Institute in Texas.

Tell the director of the National Institute of Health (NIH) to retire these chimanzees to a sanctuary, not another research institute for cruel and scientifically unnecessary experiments.
