A leaked draft Executive Order entitled "Establishing a Government-Wide Initiative to Respect Religious Freedom" goes far beyond respecting freedom, and instead legalizes a wide range of discrimination.
For example, If this draft EO is signed into effect:
- Same-sex couples could be denied services from child-welfare services and adoption agencies;
- Federal employees would be able to discriminate against LGBT veterans or others using services of the federal government;
- Those seeking female contraception via federal health care programs could be denied services;
- LGBT children could be denied foster care.
As reported by Sarah Posner in the Nation: "The draft order seeks to create wholesale exemptions for people and organizations who claim religious or moral objections to same-sex marriage, premarital sex, abortion, and trans identity, and it seeks to curtail women's access to contraception and abortion through the Affordable Care Act."
Protecting children, and caring for veterans, the old, and those who are sick should be motivated by need, not by some test of religious purity. America is great when it cares for ALL of our nation, not when it enshrines discrimination towards those in need.

Providing health care, protecting children, and caring for veterans, the old, and the infirm should be motivated by need, not by a test of religious purity.
