The Children's Section at the Pueblo City County Library District is full of Picture Books that are inappropriate for children. Signing this petition means you are standing against Children's Picture Books that include sexual references and ideologies that promote: childhood sexuality of any kind, descriptions of sex acts, queer theory, theories on gender confusion, theories on gender identity, promoting the use of pronouns, the promotion of drag queens as role models, books discussing religion and sexuality, theories and ideas about transgenderism or gender transitioning and any picture book that promotes the idea that the traditional family is oppressive to children.
By signing this petition, you are agreeing that parents are the ONLY people who should be discussing sex and sexuality with children. Any materials that include these controversial and age-inappropriate materials need to be clearly marked, filtered or placed in an area that is labeled so that parents are aware of the sensitive content.
A local parent is currently working with PCCLD to address this issue and needs your support. The goal is 1,000 signatures, so please share.
