We would like a Google Doodle for World Breastfeeding Week

World Breastfeeding Week 2013 is from the 1-7 August and it is celebrated in over 176 countries around the world. This year, World Breastfeeding Week celebrates its 21st Birthday! 

Google Doodles are clever alterations to the Google logo that mark special days and occasions. We think that breastfeeding is special and we would love a special Google Doodle to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week.

Last year the mums behind Tales of a Kitchen Witch and Code Name: Mama put together an idea for a Google Doodle which is the Google Logo with a breastfeeding baby feeding from one of the 'o's and asked people to email proposals@google.com for a Google Doodle to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week. Although many people emailed there was no response.

The mums who run Lactivist and Tales of a Kitchen Witch have joined forces and set up this petition in the hope that Google Doodles will notice a lot of us.

Dear Google Doodle
I would be delighted if Google would create a Doodle for World Breastfeeding Week (WBW), 1-7 August 2013. WBW is celebrated every year in over 176 countries around the world.
