Stop the violent killing of pigeons and doves in Spain!

Every year, more than 450,000 pigeons and doves are killed in Spain during the infamous “Tiro al Pichon”. And this is only in the official events.

They are stuffed in the barrel of a gun, specifically made for this use, catapulted into the air and then, before they even manage to open their wings, shot by the participants. Those that fall to the ground still conscious are immediately put into the gun again and the cruel process is repeated. If they are still not dead, they are left on the ground until the end of the competition, when they're stepped on to end their suffering.

During the events, the children that are there are happily participating in every aspect, even the final killing of the birds. Women, on the other hand, were present were never given a role.

Considered a sport by the Spanish Supreme Council for Sports, it is definitely a violent form of animal abuse and has to stop!
