Greenfield Communities has proposed a new neighborhood called "Charleston Grove" to be developed at the end of Sherman Rd. This new community will propose to connect with Sherman rd and use it as their entrance with 35 homes being built adding another 60+ cars going in and out of our neighborhood.
Regalwood is a small community consisting of hardworking busy families and some have lived here for 20+ years. Change can expected these days with the landscape of Fuquay Varina ever changing however the proposed changes could have some drastic unwanted effects on our peaceful little neighborhood:

With Sherman Rd possibly being connected to Charleston Grove, Sherman Rd. has the potential to turn into a high traffic through-way where drivers will be tempted to speed all the way down.
A drastic increase in traffic without any proper pedestrian areas mixed with a small roadway width in Regalwood, will pose a significant hazard to those who enjoy their walks with their families and pets.
Kids safety is paramount and at this time there is not a safe location to propose new bus stops that would be needed with the increase in houses.
Increased interest in the area could attract an increase in door to door aggressive solicitations.

Given the opportunity I will:
- Oppose the road connection, and request Charleston Grove to seek an alternate entrance to their proposed neighborhood.
- Seek bigger lot sizes to equal less houses and lower the amount of increased traffic.
- Request a traffic circle added to the development plans at their proposed entrance to slow traffic.
- Ask Greenfield to assist and back us with a county petition for speed humps and sidewalks on Sherman Rd.
- Ask Greenfield to add speed limit and stop signs to their community.
