Zoey the goat is one of best aspects of living in the South Nashville neighborhood Woodbine. Every so often, if you're lucky, one gets a glimpse of Zoey and her great owner, Mark, strolling through the neighborhood quietly in her bonnet or sweater. She's become quite the fashion icon and we like to claim her as the "best dresser in Woodbine".
Woodbine is a transitioning neighborhood. We take pride in the diversity of our neighbors and celebrate it. As silly as it may sound, having Mark and Zoey the Goat as a part of our community has brought us together with every shared photo of Zoey, every shared story, and the happiness she brings to adults and children.
We as a neighborhood are petitioning Nashville Animal Control to please let Zoey stay in Woodbine. She's our mascot, not a threat to society and in fact, brings so much joy to us.
