Many people can not be around lawns that have been sprayed recently or even not so recent. It affects my ability to breathe and gives me headaches.
Last year when I had my dog at my parent's house and the lawn sprayer came along. I told them we didn't want the lawn sprayed.
They asked why and I told them because I didn't want my dog to ingest it.
Then they told me it was SAFE for my dog.
I asked if they would drink it (because my dog will lick it off their paws).
They flat out refused to drink it and acted like the idea was nuts. And then left.
If it is safe then people can and would be willing to drink it.
Americans dump 80 million pounds of pesticides on their yards each year.
We are poisoning ourselves, our children, Animals, Bees, Birds, and our Air and Water.
Chlorpyrifos, malathion and diazinon threaten ninety-seven percent of the plants and animals on the federal list of threatened and endangered species, according to a just-released analysis by the EPA (1).
Please sign this to ask the City of Buffalo to stop allowing spraying within the city limits .

Dear City of Buffalo and Mayor Bryon Brown,
Please stop the use of poisons on our lawns. The spraying of lawns increases the toxins in our ground, air and water.
We need clean air to breathe.
We need clean earth to grow food and walk barefoot on.
We need clean water to drink, wash and cook with.
We need bees to pollinate our plants.
We need to know we are safe to go outside and breathe the air and be on the ground, for us, our children and our animal friends.
Please put a stop to poisoning lawns in Buffalo in the name of aesthetics.
