Ban Neonicotinoid Insecticides Usage in Pima County Immediately!

This is a petition to the Pima County Board of Supervisors requesting that the use of neonicotinoid insecticides and the importation of plants sprayed with neonicotinoids be banned from Pima County.

The European Union instituted a 3-year ban on the use of neonicotinoids after scientific evidence has revealed that neonicotinoids are a probable cause in the decline in the World's bee population. Eugene, OR, Seattle, WA, and Spokane, WA have passed ordinances banning and/or restricting the use of these controversial insecticides. We would like Pima County to join in this effort to stop the rapid decline of our most important source of pollination of our crops, gardens and plants.
