A large-scale alleged cruelty situation occurred at a residential property in Hertford County, North Carolina. The Humane Society rescued over 100 dogs and puppies from Terry Shinaberry's property. The conditions in which these animals were found were described as filthy, with evidence of severe neglect and unsanitary living conditions. The dogs and puppies suffered from a lack of basic care, and the stench of feces permeated the air.
It is deeply concerning to learn that Terry Shinaberry is also a registered sex offender. This combination of offenses indicates a severe disregard for the well-being and rights of both animals and humans, making it imperative to prevent any future harm.
According to reports, a veterinarian present at the scene observed that many dogs appeared severely underweight, with some being emaciated to the point where their ribs and hip bones were visibly protruding. The veterinarian also noted that several dogs exhibited eye issues, while others suffered from skin conditions such as missing hair, open sores, and persistent itching.
This is not the first time Terry Shinaberry has been involved in such reprehensible acts. Nearly a decade ago, he had 60 dogs removed from his property. Furthermore, in 2014, he deceitfully claimed to be operating a rescue, misleading the community. This time, neighbors report that he falsely represented himself as a licensed dog breeder under the name Three Creek Australian Shepherds. These repeated instances of dishonesty and animal mistreatment demonstrate a clear pattern of behavior that must be addressed. We firmly believe that Terry Shinaberry must be held accountable for his actions. It is crucial that he faces the appropriate legal consequences, including but not limited to the charges of animal cruelty, misdemeanor animal cruelty, obtaining property under false pretenses, and possession of a firearm by a felon, as currently filed against him.
