Cat Creek Energy has filed permits to put a hydroelectric/wind turbine/solar facility directly above Anderson Ranch Reservoir which is a major migratory corridor for mule deer, elk, antelope, kokanee salmon, bull trout, protected sage grouse, golden and bald eagles, peragrine falcon, including many other migratory raptors, song birds, and water fowl. Below is what is proposed:
400 MW pump-store hydroelectric facility
110 MW wind facility consisting of 39 wind turbines
A 40 MW photovoltaic solar facility
3.4 mile long, 80 foot earthen dam
38,000 to 50,000 acre impoundment as an upper reservoir
2, 200 MW vertical turbines/generators
2, 5,600 foot long, 22 foot diameter steel penstocks
2, 100 foot diameter concrete silos
8 mile long, 230-kilovolt transmission line
3.6 mile long access road and appurtenant facilities
I believe in green energy but site location is critical and should not fall within a major migratory wildlife corridor. Contact Elmore County Commissioner, Governor Otter, Fish & Game and Fish and Wildlife to stop this terrible project from hurting this precious Anderson Ranch Reservoir, Little Camus Reservoir and all the abundant wildlife!
