Tell the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife that this hunter who admitted to intentionally shooting and killing OR-28 for a trophy that a fine of $2,000 and only 1 year loss of hunting is "NOT ENOUGH"!!! Trophy Hunting is getting out of control and sloppy. This mama wolf just gave birth to her first litter and had just been nursing them when she was gunned down! Now these babies have become orphaned because of a selfish act of greed.
People who have been sentenced for other animal means of cruelty acts have received stronger and more harsher punishments for their crimes, so why does this animal killer get less for killing an endangered collared nursing animal???
It seems like trophy hunter's get slapped on the wrist while others pay big!

If officials saying that killing a breeding female can prove to be very detrimental to the entire pack structure and lead to conflicts in livestock and that this killing is a major setback to the endangered and vulnerable gray wolf population of Oregon, then why is he getting off so easily?? If these hunters are rich, 2,000 is just pennies to them. We demand this man pay a higher fine and should spend lengthy jail time as well.
This punishment does not fit the crime and sends a message to other hunter's that the punishment is worth it.
