The Canadian government, by its own admission, knows of at least 60 individuals in Canada who participated in terrorism activities while fighting for ISIS abroad.
It claims to be monitoring them but fails to give details to what extent or how they’re protecting Canadians from these extremists. The fact that they are free to walk among the general population and live a normal life after their actions as terrorist fighters is unacceptable.
The level of human suffering ISIS has inflected around the world and the atrocities they have committed is immeasurable. Rape, murder, torture, terror activities and genocide are all crimes which if anyone commits is subject to criminal charges and detainment pending a fair trial.
This petition calls on the Government of Canada to arrest, detain and lay the appropriate charges against all known returned or returning ISIS fighters immediately.
Canada is a beacon for freedom, justice, equality and democracy to the entire world. To not act on this matter immediately is to send the unthinkable message that supporting terrorism is ok and won’t go unpunished.
