Protect the Yasuní National Park from Oil Explotation

Ecuador's president Rafael Correa has recently announced that he has abandoned a plan to save the untouched parts of Yasuní National Park from oil extraction. In August 2012, was built an "ecological trail" though the park. Conservationists were concerned because this road seemed to be used to extract oil from the ITT , an untouched zone of the park.Road construction and oil extraction are highly detrimental due to deforestation, damage to ecosystems, over-hunting and deconstruction of local cultures. Sacrifice of Earth for money is next road to death and destruction. Let's make pressure on world governments to respect life and environment. We can make a difference for the planet, we only have one.
