She was a gorgeous Pit Bull and pregnant, January 2008 - she was doused with gasoline and burned to death WHILE GIVING BIRTH TO HER PUPPIES!!!!

When Antoine Draper sent his two year old pit bull, MiMi, to live with his brother for a while, he said it was like parting with one of his kids. "From a puppy I fed her with a bottle. From the time she was born," Draper said.

But just days before Christmas 2007, Draper received a phone call that made him sick to his stomach - someone had doused MiMi with gasoline and set her on fire while she was giving birth to puppies. Her body was still burning when Draper arrived - and he knows who did it.

He filed a police report and brought witnesses with him, but to this day, MiMi's killer - his brother's ex-girlfriend - is still free. Police said at the time that they did not have enough evidence to lay an aggravated animal cruelty charge.

Tennessee state laws exist that can be applied to this case. We are asking you to use the full power of state animal cruelty legislation to arrest and charge the person(s) who committed this barbaric act with: cruelty to animals (TCA 39-14-202), intentional killing of an animal (TCA 39-14-205), and aggravated cruelty to animals (TCA 39-14-212). We also ask you to order the person or people responsible to undergo psychiatric examination and be banned for life from owning animals.

Someone with the ability to commit such a horrific crime as the torture and murder of a pregnant animal, without provocation and with deadly malice aforethought, is also a legitimate threat to the safety of humans.

Please do not sign Anonymously! Petitions have much more impact with actual names! Thank you!

THIS IS TAKEN FROM A FACEBOOK GROUP TITLED "JUSTICE FOR MIMI"

This group is dedicated to bringing to justice those responsible for the murder of MiMi, a pregnant 2-year-old pit bull, in January 2008 in the city of Memphis, Tennessee. MiMi was doused with gasoline and burned to death while she was giving birth to her puppies.

This group also seeks full public accountability from all law enforcement agencies, and all elected city, state, and federal officials, who chose -- for whatever reasons -- to let this crime and its perpetrator(s) go unpunished.

Finally, and most importantly, this group seeks to have "MiMi's Law" enacted -- legislation which would criminalize the torture and murder of animals, legislation which would provide for appropriate punishments, legislation which would prevent such a shameful miscarriage of justice from ever being allowed to happen again.

This group seeks to achieve this measure of justice for MiMi though any and all peaceful and legal channels at our disposal ... petitions, e-mails, posters, news releases, you name it ...

As far as this group and our cause are concerned, there are only two groups of people involved here:
-- those who are guilty in any way for their roles in this crime and its aftermath,
-- and the rest of us.
