Stop Dolphin Cruelty

Dolphins are highly intelligent mammals that deserve to live free out in the wild and not held in captivity. People think it is okay to keep these poor mammals in captivity such as aquariums or amusement parks. Like us humans, these creatures also have feelings. Being isolated from their peers can cause these dolphins to become depressed and or commit suicide.

Marine amusement parks use these free spirited animals for entertainment and “education”, but is this really helping us to learn more about these mammals? The answer is no, because all we are doing is just amusing ourselves and endangering highly intelligent dolphins.

Dolphins have been around for years and knowing that they could become extinct is really sad. Not only is this happening in the U.S, but also around the world. Ever since the movie The Cove came out, a film that takes place in Tajin, Japan where whales and dolphins are being slaughtered for their meat, people began to start a campaign to stop these animals’ slaughters.

What can you do? Stop funding any dolphins’ captivity parks. Stop going to SeaWorld just to see these poor animals suffer. Although it seems like they have a smile on their face, these poor innocent mammals have not no choice to have that smile and pretend as if they like being trapped. Start funding projects that go towards these mammals to help them and get them out of captivity and into the open sea where they belong in the first place. Dolphins can live up 50 to 60 years old, but because of captivity their life expand reduces up to 20 percent and not many reach up to the age 50. In San Diego, California, SeaWorld has announced that they will no longer will be breeding whales. Like the one in San Diego, Orlando should consider as well to stop the breeding of whales and stop obtaining dolphins in captivity.

Watching these trapped mammals is a really sad thing. Please help stop and free these mammals while we can. Stop and support your local dolphin foundations such as BlueVoice, Wild Dolphin and many more. Just by a click of a button to help donate and support these fragile creatures and watch you make a difference to help free these dolphins that do not belong in captivity.
