The Protection of Gray Wolves and other endangered predators

Wolves lost federal protection under the Endangered Species Act in April 2011, leaving management up to individual states. The result has been a holocaust for wolves in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Minnesota and Wisconsin, where agressive hunting seasons are now being allowed. Wolves are also under seige nationwide.  Since President Obama removed the gray wolf from the endangered species list and turned management of these majestic animals over to state wildlife agencies,1,705 wolves have been senselessly slaughtered by sport hunters and trappers alone. State wildlife agencies not only ignore the methods of the core biology of how wolves hunt and breed, but their funding depends on hunting and trapping fees. In fact, current wolf management may actually lead to wolves' demise. Please watch link above for full story.
