Make Sign Language Mandatory in Schools!

Sign a language in schools should be mandatory, the amount of children who are deaf, mute or non-verbal autistic means that their social skills are further diminished if they cannot communicate. Using sign language can ensure their communication is not suffering due to their inability to speak. Using Mackaton or sign language, means that even a child who cannot speak, can still have friends and socialise, which is extremely important for children at a young age, ultimately, helping them to not feel isolated. I believe very strongly in this cause and if sign language can be taught alongside English from primary school age, there will be no extra lessons, time or homework for children that have so much on their plate already.
