This September, the body of a California Condor was found on the side of a road in California. This in and of itself is a tragedy, as less than 350 of these amazing birds are left in the wild. Then, a forensics lab investigated the bird's death. The cause? It was killed by a gunshot wound.
We cannot let any more condors die in this tragic, senseless way. It is time for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to act to ensure the public understands how threatened these iconic birds are!

California Condors are amazing birds -- not only are they the largest bird in North America, able to soar as high as 15,000 feet, they also rebounded from the literal brink of extinction.
