Stop the Poisoning of Stray Dogs

Bulgaria has many stray dogs. The problem has become so large that people often resort to disgusting acts of violence leaving dogs dead, maimed and paralysed. To solve this problem the government has resorted to mass poisonings. This is not a solution.

The government needs to support trap, neuter and release (TNR) programmes. In TNR programmes dogs are fed in central places, captured, provided with medical care and then neutered. Homes are found for puppies and the others are released and taken care of locally.
