Petition Rumaenien

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,

mit großer Empoerung und mit Entsetzen habe ich erfahren, das Sie ernsthaft die Toetungen der Hunde wieder legalisieren wollen.

Es ist skandaloes, auch nur zu erwaegen, Toetungen gesetzlich wieder völlig zu legalisieren, anstatt sich um andere Alternativen zu bemuehen.

Ich weise Sie darauf hin, das , teils extrem bestialische Toetungspraktiken seit Jahrzehnten in Sued- und Osteuropa durchgefuehrt werden, ohne auch nur annaehrend dieses Problem zu oesen.

Eine einzige Huendin kann rein rechnerisch in 5 Jahren ca. 2700 Nachkommen erzeugen!
Die einzige logische Loesung ist daher die Durchfuehrung eines konsequenten Kastrationsprogramms.

Langfristig gesehen ist damit das Problem der Streunertiere geloest, Rumaenien waere in der Lage, guten und verantwortlichen Tierschutz zu betreiben. 

Ich  erwarte von Politikern eines Mitgliedstaates der EU die Bereitschaft, sich ueber dieses Thema zu informieren, anstatt auf alte Praxen zurückzugreifen, die sich nicht bewährten.

Im Namen der Menschlichkeit und des Respektes anderen Lebewesen gegenüber fordere ich Sie auf, von den geplanten Gesetzesaenderungen Abstand zu nehmen und Alternativen zu erwaegen, die einem EU Mitgliedsland im Jahre 2010 wuerdig sind.

Toetungen sind es nicht!

with big disgust and with horror, it has come to my knowledge, that you seriously want to legalize the killing of the dogs again.

It is scandalous, even to consider, to legalize the killing by law again, instead of looking for alternatives.

I would like to point out, that partially extreme cruel killing-practices are used since decades in Southern and Eastern Europe, which did not roughly solve the problem.

A single she-dog is, in terms of figures, able, to produce approx. 2700 puppies in 5 years.

The only logical solution is the execution of a consistent castration program.

Seen long-term, the problem of the stray animal is solved that way and Romania would be able to practice a good and accountable animal welfare.

From politicians of a member state of the European Community, I’m expecting the willingness to inform themselves about that matter, instead of going back to practices, which have not stand the test.

In the name of humanity and the respect for other creatures, I ask you to forbear from the planned changes in law and to consider alternatives, which are worthy an EU member state in 2010.

Killings are not.
