Although the GOP ultimately failed to have the backbone to stand up to their supreme leader, several have admitted that, while they don't think his crimes merit removal from office, they believe Trump is guilty of the abuses he's been accused of – contrary to Trump's crowing.
Time to call their bluff. If they think Trump's actions were wrong, it's time to counter with an action that's right.
Add your name to tell the Senate that it's time to put up or shut up. You said Trump withholding Ukraine's congressionally appropriated aid for political gain was inappropriate, then do your job: Censure Donald Trump.
We did not get justice through a transparent impeachment trial. But even so, so many details of his crimes have surfaced that many in his own party have acknowledged he acted shamefully and inappropriately.
But these cowardly post-trial words don't mean a thing without action – a yea/nay historical stamp on whether or not they believe Trump was wrong to use the power of his office for personal gain.
A censure will not remove him from office – but it will put each Senator on the record for their voters. And, it will provide a bipartisan counterpoint to Trump's belligerent claims of innocence.
Add your name to tell the Senate to do the bare minimum to hold Trump accountable: CENSURE DONALD TRUMP!
