trump&republicans in the senate passed a law to let landlords raise the rent as high as they want I think the law should be changed back to the rent can only be raised every 5yrs.and only $100.00
My son and dog and I lost our home because our landlord died Nov.2020from cancer and the new landlord raised the rent from $1100-$1305$205.00more knowing I am on SSDI.My son has a gud job but not to pay $205.00more each month and he would not let us make a payment arrangement,so he took me to court 2xand I asked the judge to make him take the cash and because the landlord said he was a pastor, the judge awarded him, and than he wouldn't take cash even when I told him our accnt was hacked and we need to pay in cash til the investigation is over.He declined,Jan.2022 he sent an eviction notice Feb.02,2022to vacate the property,in the middle of winter,we were liven n a vehicle for 7mos.til we were without a vehicle. We pay $2,240a month for a motelroom.I've noticed there are others homeless liven here the manager is collecting all this money from people n not fixing anything. We report problems and nothing happens.I asked to have the maid service come@3pm and I'm told the maid service stops working @3pm.I am in a wheelchair and just got over covid &stomach virus.I can't hold the dog back and we don't have a vehicle to leave the room til they clean.I can't go outside while just recovering from being sick. The 1st old microwave broke because of the power going off, that was replaced and the power went off again and the 2nd microwave broke,we recieved a3rd microwave and the maintenanceman said if this1breaks your shit our of luck. The mini frig broke from the power outage and I had to get a new minifrig and the power went out and now we have no frig.I had to buy a freezer.
