A committe in Blsasdell, New York, has decided to trap and kill what they determined to be 'nuisance animals'-coyotes, raccoons, and skunks...and they are killing pets in the process! There is no way to safely monitor what is being trapped-children are even in danger! There are safe and humane ways to LIVE TRAP and relocate these so called 'nuisance animals', who have as much right to the land and survival as those that determined their fate.
Dear Mayor Michael Petrie and Erie County Trappers Association,
Many conderned Facebook animal rights advocates feel that the trapping and killing of coyotes, skunks and racoons, which you have deemed a nuisance, is unfair and inhumane. Beloved family pets are being killed in the process, and we feel that the traps are a danger to humans as well as their pets. We that are signing feel that a more fair and humane solution to this would be to either set live traps or tranquelize these animals and relocate them. There really is no reason to kill them.
