In 1904, the National League Champion New York Giants refused to play the 1904 American League Champion (and 1903 World Champion) Boston Red Sox in the scheduled second Fall Classic. This should be regarded as a forfeit and the Red Sox franchise should be awarded their ninth World Series Championship.
