OPPOSE MARIJUANA STORE AND CONSUMPTION LOUNGE IN SCARSDALE

Ask our village trustees to place the well-being of our village youth ahead of the promised tax revenue from marijuana sales.  Allowing a marijuana store and consumption lounge in the village center will promote the use of marijuana and blunt the awareness by Scarsdale youth of the drug's harm. The Scarsdale Drug and Alcohol Task Force cites the critical correlation between early use of marijuana with later chronic adult use, as well as the drug's negative impact on brain development. According to a recent survey, the majority of villages in Westchester will opt out of permitting marijuana retailers to open their doors.  Our residents should join the majority in saying "NO" to marijuana stores in Scarsdale.
