Every year brings more disasters, more emergencies—and more people in urgent need of help. The Canadian Red Cross is on the frontlines, helping individuals and communities recover and rebuild—but we can't do it without you.

Disasters often result in displacement, the destruction of critical infrastructure, and even injury or loss of life. The ripple effects disrupt healthcare, education, and access to basic needs. Vulnerable populations—including low-income communities, seniors, and marginalized groups—are often the hardest hit.

Last year, the Canadian Red Cross responded to wildfires across Canada, with teams on the ground providing essential recovery supplies, financial aid, and mental health and psychosocial services to those affected. In Jasper, Alberta, devastating wildfires left a trail of destruction and heartache, causing many families to lose everything and forever changing their community. With the support and generosity of our donors, we were able to deliver critical services and supplies to meet immediate recovery needs across the region – and we continue to support the community's needs to this day.

Emergencies can strike anytime, anywhere. Like the fires in Alberta, support is needed not only in the immediate aftermath but long after the disaster has passed, to help communities recover.
