Duisburg Dolphinarium in Germany....a dolphin hell. WDSF (Whale and Dolphin Protection Forum) in Germany along with Ric O'Barry wants it shut down....Juergen Ortmueller and his group WDSF believe that 60 dolphins have died there since it opened. The zoo refuses to make their records public so no one is sure of the exact number of dolphin deaths....just that there have been many. A protest was done outside the zoo in March of 2012 where Ric O'Barry a long time dolphin activist joined to help fight for the welfare of these animals. WDSF is filing a lawsuit against Duisburg to force them to make their records public. We DO know that in 1996, there was a single beluga whale and a dolphin companion being kept to gether in a tiny outdoor tank. The beluga was forced to pull schoolchildren around the tank in a little boat. Two rare Amazon River Dolphins were kept in a dark, dirt, iron tank...they had nothing to do but swim endless, little circles in their iron prison. And, dolphins have been dying there, year after year.
Join us in protest and help get this terrible place of suffering & death shut down for good!! These innocent, sentient beings deserve a life of peace & freedom. Please sign the petition and make this "abusement" park a thing of the past. Say NO to Duisburg!! Say NO to captivity!!
