Chick-Fil-A has made it clear that they are strongly against marriage equality and gay rights, which was reaffirmed in interviews with CEO Dan Cathy. Because of backlash from this, Chick-Fil-A lied about their recalled Muppet toys and created fake supporters.
A recent sign posted at a Texas Chick-Fil-A announced the removal of Muppet toys from the kids' meals because of safety issues when they were actually removed by Muppets CEO Lisa Henson because of the homophobia. Not only did they lie, but they made the toys seem falsely unsafe.
Later, on the Chick-Fil-A facebook wall, people were talking about the toys, and a girl named Abby started defending the company. A Facebook user noticed that her profile had just been created and that her picture was a popular stock photo, leading the public to believe that it was probably a fake account created by Chick-Fil-A PR.
Please tell Chick-Fil-A that lying is not a Christian value, and for them to clear up both of these incidents.
Dear Chick-Fil-A,
I am writing to you today concerning two incidents that have led the public to believe that the company has been dishonest.
First, the company posted a sign at a Texas Chick-Fil-A saying that Muppet toys were removed from the kids' meals because of safety issues, when the toys were actually removed by the Muppets CEO because of the anti-gay stance of Chick-Fil-A. Then, when talking about it on Chick-Fil-A's Facebook page, a girl named Abby started defending Chick-Fil-A whose profile had just been created and who had a stock photo as a profile picture, leading people to believe that this was a fake supporter created by Chick-Fil-A's PR.
Lying is not a Christian value, and it is time for you all to clear up both of these incidents.
Thank you for your time.
