DEMAND AN END TO ANIMAL SACRIFICE IN LESVOS, GREECE

On July 26th every year a bull is sacrificed in a village on the island of Lesvos. First, the doomed animal is decorated with flowers and a wreath then paraded thru the streets as people take photos. Then he is slowly murdered and as the blood slowly drains from his body the villagers dip their children's amulets into the still-warm blood of the dying bull for purification of their spirit/soul. This horrendous practice MUST end!!! Pressure must be put on the governing body to end this barbarism and punish those who break the law. We can no longer tolerate the murdering of sentient beings for outdated religious practices.
