Tell Nevada Lands Council not to sell our land!
For years, Cliven Bundy and his sons have been bullies, squatting on our public land causing destruction to Gold Butte, Nevada's piece of the Grand Canyon. Recent reports from concerned site stewards reveal just how much irreversible damage has been done.
A new group has emerged doubling down on Bundy's dangerous agenda. The Nevada Lands Council sounds like an organization that would have our best interest in mind, but the policies they support would be devastating for access to the lands we enjoy and disastrous for Nevada's budget. The Nevada Lands Council wants to seize 45 million acres of public land to "collect revenue" through resource extraction and lands sales.
The Bundy's are in jail, but their allies need to know that Nevadans across the state will not be bullied by extremists.
Tell the Nevada Lands Council that you want public lands to stay in public hands.
Dear Nevada Lands Council -
I am a Nevadan who cares about the quality and health of our public land. I am very concerned that the Nevada Lands Council plans to seize 45 million acres of my public land for lands sales and resource extraction that will hurt my access, and do further harm to our environment.

Our state is struggling financially to pay its bills and we do not have the resources to add millions of dollars of additional costs to manage wildfires and other threats to our public land. If the land is put into state control, Nevada would be forced to sell it to private developers in order to cover these massive new budgetary requirements. And even then, it is doubtful that land sales will provide enough funds to avoid extreme budget shortages.
Instead of trying to take our lands away, the Nevada Lands Council should support protecting our environment in places like Gold Butte, where critical habitat and cultural artifacts are being harmed at an alarming pace.
Sincerely,
