Some very disturbing things have been happening with this woman.. she has removed gay books from a library and her quote was in ref to this.

"I do not want to have to explain to my [6-year-old] daughter what it means to be questioning one’s sexuality … or what a transgender person is, or what a bisexual is or what a gay or lesbian is," said Storms. She added that the library shouldn’t be "used as bully pulpit to introduce those concepts to a child outside of their parents’ purview." Only one county commissioner voted against the ban, which resulted in the removal of the shelf of books, as well as a larger display in the central library.

She has made sure the commission adopted a policy today that says the county will "abstain from acknowledging, promoting and participating'' in gay pride recognition or events.

She was active in "Take Back Tampa,'' which successfully pushed to rescind the amendment to the county's Human Rights Ordinance that protected gay residents

She said libraries "shouldn't be used as a bully pulpit to introduce these [gay] issues'' to children. This came after complaints from three patrons about a display about gay and lesbian books at a branch of the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library System

On whether a law school devoted to graduating minority lawyers could do its job: "We can get them through law school, but we can't get them to seem to pass the Bar."

On why Florida is creating such a law school: "It's guilt money. This is so white people can pat themselves on the back."

I find these actions disturbing even if you are not for gay rights..removing books and reporting people to homeland security is not american and scares me because it sounds very nazi like.
