Dog food manufacturers charge high prices for dog food that may be ruining your dog's life; maybe even killing him/her. Check your dog food ingredients label - I'll be you'll find either sodium selenite or selenium yeast and a host of different herbs. Yeast in any form is known to cause yeast infections in dogs as well as skin problems, ear infections, and to exacerbate allergy problems. Herbs, while useful for treating health problems, do have potential side effects and were never intended for indefinite use. All herbs and spices are diuretic - they increase urination - and with that increased urination, vital nutrition is washed out of the body and could create nutritional deficiencies - resulting in more health problems. And yet these potentially harmful ingredients are included in every single dog food I found through my research - yes, even the ones named "Natural" and "Holistic."
