THE RECLAMATION OF THE NEW FREEDOM THEATRE

We are profoundly offended at the treatment of the legacy staff and we're deeply concerned about the future of Freedom. In lieu of recent events, The Freedom Theatre Alumni Coalition, The Parent Association, and The Elders & Friends of Freedom Association have decided to renew their commitment, exponentially grow these groups to reinvest time/money/resources to bolster support of Freedom Theatre. We are also calling into question Board governance. We have significant reason to believe that due to a lack of board presence and competence, decisions were made on behalf of the theater that violated the protocols established by the by-laws governing Freedom Theater.

We are requesting an immediate meeting with the current Chairman of the Board, Representatives of The Freedom Theatre Alumni Coalition, Parents Association, and Elders & Friends of Freedom to demand the following:

• An immediate dismissal of the current executive director due to egregious practices; as well as a history of decisions that adversely affected the vitality of the theatre and its programming.
• A renewed board approved by alumni
• We demand a change in administration
• A revamped program contingent upon alumni approval

We are currently receiving an overwhelming response of support to the petition and survey that is presently being circulated amongst all of the galvanized alumni, parents, students, and former students from all over the country, spanning the 50+ years of Freedom Theatre's existence. There is also a strong social media push to reinforce our efforts to see these changes made.

Until these changes are made, we are collectively positioned to exercise the following, but not limited to:

• Constant protest pressure at every Freedom Theatre event. We will make it extraordinarily difficult for the theatre    to proceed in its current administrative state.
• Constant Social Media Campaigning
• Definitive Legal Action
