- Appeal to extend 2014's Amendment One environmental protection benefits to the preservation of the Florida Panther.
- Prior to 2000, Florida was a national leader in general land purchases for environmental preservation purposes. When current Gov. Rick Scott was in his first term, he eliminated funding for such completely. The Florida Panther, which now numbers less than 200, would benefit from land purchases and conservation efforts that would protect it from the major threats it faces: Mercury pollution and being struck by automobiles. If the Florida State Senate voted on an extension to fund such, using the USD$10 billion provided by the ratification of Amendment One during the 2014 fiscal year for the State legislation, extinction possibilities would lower greatly for these animals, who were morbidly hunted down to the minimal numbers for the natural menace they posed to livestock.
