In Colombia, gender-based violence and sexual exploitation are big issues that are little spoken of.

Children and youth who've been displaced by poverty or civil unrest are all too easily be lured into the sex trade in tourist centres, and girls and women face regular threats to their safety. And still, too many people remain quiet in the face of violence and heartbreak.

It's time to end the silence and to give girls and young women hope for the bright future they deserve.
