Our political system should be open and accountable. But it's threatened by shadowy lobbying groups, financiers and shell companies seeking to sway government officials, shape policy to benefit themselves and polarise our communities by stoking 'culture wars'.

We believe we have a duty to expose this hidden influence in UK politics. We're already making progress. We've taken steps to reveal how think tanks such as The Global Warming Policy Foundation, a charity whose board has links to investors in oil, has lobbied the Government to water down efforts to address climate change.
