Capt. Paul Watson of the Sea Shepherd is under arrest in Germany under false charges. In the near future he will be extradited to Costa Rica where he will most likely die if convicted! These are mostly polictically motivated issues. Because The Sea Shepherd and it affiliates are so passionate about saving the whales and marine life they have made many enemies.
Meanwhile these enemies are the ones who are cutting off the fins of sharks and throwing them back into the ocean while they are still alive. These enemies are also the ones making large profits by whaling. In this day and age we do not use whale blubber to light our lanterns. It is all for profit and is under the disguse of their ship's logo, "Research", printed on the side. This is illegal, but it continues every day.
These are the enemies who herd the whales into the cove and then bludgen these trusting creatures and kill them just to eat their meat and blubber as a custom. How sad it makes me to hear that these helpless and very social animals trust man, just to have him kill them for nothing more than a custom!
Capt. Paul Watson is very passionate about this cause and has worked tirelessly for many years to save the whales from extinction. We need to stand up for the whales and for Capt. Paul Watson today! Don't let a good man die in a Costa Rica jail.
