Petition against bird slaughter in Egypt

Every autumn, about 140 million migratory birds are killed in a continous line of trapping nets extending over more than 700 km in Egypt.

Please stop the killing of birds in such vast amount - even rare species are caught as the nets obviously can´t make a difference.

BirdLIfe Interantional and NABU want restrictions on hunting and prosecution of breaching to protect species from extinction. The german organisation NABU demands from the german government support for Egypt e.g. in the field of alternative sources of income.
