Slowly but surely, accountability has been coming for the attorneys who assisted Donald Trump in his efforts to overturn the free and fair 2020 election. John Eastman, L. Lin Wood, Jenna Ellis, and Rudy Giuliani have all temporarily or permanently lost their licenses to practice law.
Someone who should not be lost in the mix is Boris Epshteyn. A Trump attack dog for the past decade, Epshteyn has had a hand in most of Trump's misdeeds. He authored the notorious Holocaust Remembrance Day statement in 2017 that did not mention Jewish people, caught criticism for failing to disclose his close ties to Russia, and gained a reputation as an impersonal bully.
His tendencies for bullying were on full display when he was arrested not once, but twice in Arizona for harassing and groping women at bars. They were also on display when he repeatedly overrode Trump attorneys like Tim Parlatore who attempted to advise Trump to cooperate in the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case. He continued to be a close advisor to Trump, even appearing at Trump's arraignment in a Manhattan courthouse in April 2023.
His worst conduct, however, involved his attempts to overturn the 2020 election. Epshteyn, who is believed to be identified as "Co-Conspirator Number Six" in the Jack Smith federal Trump indictment and who has been indicted on felony charges in the Arizona fake electors case, was present in the Willard Hotel "command center" and was involved in both the campaign to pressure Mike Pence to reject the election results unilaterally as well as the plot to submit fake electors to Congress on January 6th.
With other high-profile attorneys losing their bar licenses, Epshteyn deserves to be held accountable for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election as well as his numerous other legal and ethical violations that make it abundantly clear that he is not fit to be an attorney. We, the undersigned, demand Boris Epshteyn be disbarred!
