Over the past few month many tragic incidents have occurred in Yellowstone National Park. These offenses range from trespassing that have lead to death, many violent wildlife/ visitor confrontations, attempted theft of natural materials, and multiple wildlife deaths. These blatent disregards for the National Park and wild creatures has done enough damage for an entire year before July even begins.
The tragic truth means that everyone will have to suffer a temporary suspension because of the stupid acts of a few. Every visitor must take it upon themselves to protect our public lands. The native wildlife and scenic sights must be protected for future generations and treated respectfully. Our natural wonders cannot be sacrificed for our viewing pleasure.
We shall call on President Barack Obama to suspend visitation to Yellowstone National Park until 2018 for the preservation of the park resources and wildlife. Visitors to public lands must treat our protected areas with gentler respect.
