4 years ago Natalie and her new fiance decided to celebrate their engagement by staying at the Emirates Palace Hotel. After arriving she opened the wardrobe door and bent to put her shoes in the wardrobe. She looked up as a wooden panel fell from the front of the AV unit and hit her on the head, right on the temporal lobe.
She was diagnosed with intractible refractory epilepsy and brain trauma.
Since then she has been in 3 comas, takes 4000mg of strong meds per day, which have now affected her liver.
Last week she was rushed into hospital twice. Next time she may not be so lucky....
We needs Justice for Nat, she has finally gone to the courts in the UAE, and the courts have been amazing, as have the doctors. Unfortunately Emirates Palace and the doctors have not realised the severity of Natalie's situation and we need public opinion to sway them into realising the severity of her situation.
Natalie is a Dubai resident of ten years, who appreciates the incredible culture and leadership, and would not be going public without the desperation of not knowing whether she will survive the next seizures.
