ORIGINAL APPEAL:
APPEALPlease take action TODAY by signing this petition to help secure funds through the County of San Luis Obispo for a permanent South County "Housing Navigation Center," a collaboration between 5-Cities Homeless Coalition (5-CHC) and Peoples' Self-Help Housing (PSHH).
The funding provides the perfect opportunity to secure a unique property ideally suited to address unmet needs in South County: a permanent place to bring together housing services currently offered by 5-CHC, permanent supportive housing managed by PSHH, and sorely-needed transitional housing for youth who have no other options except couch-surfing, sleeping in their cars, or the streets.
This petition will be submitted on April 3rd to the Housing Services Oversight Council as a show of support for project. This committee must support the project so the Board of Supervisors will approve it for funding.
