Animals Are Harmed on Reality TV

The era of reality TV has undermined the work of many but the worst I have seen has been the way that animals are treated on these shows. It goes from terrifying baby pigs on Black Out to a child abusing her pet on Toddlers and Tiaras to this, the torture and killing of animals who are essential to a healthy ecosystem for no reason other than to entertain humans lacking in empathy.

Despite the fact that we are capable of conscious thought, we humans still have an enormous problem with our irrational fears and we do not need anyone reinforcing the idea that we should behave violently in response to irrational fear. We do not need to broadcast examples of abuse for less rational humans to copy. Please sign this and tell NBC that you do not support irrational violence or shows that harm animals for entertainment.
