You should sign my petition against elephant poaching and ivory trade because this is one of the worlds biggest problems. Ivory has been flooding the market since the turn of the century and elephants are the main target for poachers. Poachers will kill the elephants from above in a helicopter or kill them on their feet with cheap guns they found. Once they have killed the elephant(s) they take a hatchet and just slice off the very front of the elephant's face and leave the elephant to rot away, leaving the body of the beautiful creature untouched. Did you know that if we kill all of the elephants, the whole ecosystem might change? Elephants dig waterholes, create salt licks that are high in nutrients for other animals, they create food for other animals which happens to be their dung, and they help with overgrowth of plants and leaves by eating several tens of pounds of food every day. Think about it. It was like when they reintroduced the wolves into Yellowstone National Park. By reintroducing wolves, even the way the river flowed was totally changed. That was just wolves! What if we didn't have the largest walking mammal on earth here anymore? Elephants will be extinct in 15-20 years if we don't act now!
